Councillor Dermot Nicholl said he was contacted by a concerned resident who said they’d caught two males peering through the windows of their property late at night at the weekend.

“A resident approached me to say two males wearing what they said were hoodies were looking through the windows of the house at about 11.10pm on Sunday,” said Colr. Nicholl.

“This apparently happened in the St. Columbas Walk area and the person that came to me said they followed the two males through the Glen area, but lost them.

“I don’t want to alarm people, but this is worrying.

“I have made the police aware of this, and I would appeal to people to be vigliant and report anything they think is suspicious to police.”
