Masked men have carried out an armed robbery in Derry.
Police say the robbery took place at a store in the Glencaw Park area of Galliagh around 9.30pm on Thursday.
A PSNI spokeswoman says two masked men entered the store while a third remained outside.
"One of the men produced a handgun and demanded money from a member of staff. The three men then made off in the direction of Leafair Park on foot."
Sinn Fin Councillor Elisha McLaughlin condemned the incident and urged anyone with information to come forward to police.
"This must have been very frightening experience for the members of staff caught up in this ordeal , particularly as it reported that up to three people carried out this robbery and that one was armed with a handgun.
"I have spoken to other businesses in the area and they are very concerned that this is second robbery on premises in less than a month. Just before Christmas we had the robbery of a shop at Elaghmore Park during which a hammer was used to threaten staff
"I would appeal for anyone with even the slightest piece of information to come forward straight away to the police in Derry."
Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area and could help with their enquiries to contact the CID offices on 0845 600 8000.
