A Waterside man has appeared in court charged with the burglary of a local supermarket.
Mark O’Neill, of Goshaden Cottages, faces two charges of burglary with intent to steal from Tesco, Quayside.
The 38-year-old is further charged with causing damage to security tags and bottles of whiskey.
The offences were allegedly committed on September 11 and 13, last year.
During a brief hearing at the local magistrates court, O’Neill spoke only to confirm his details and that he understood the charges against him.
He was released on continuing bail and banned from any Tesco store in the city.
O’Neill will appear in court again on March 28.
