Art, heart and tech for the over 60s!

Age Concern Derry are inviting the over 60’s to attend their new series of art classes at Malvern House, Chapel Road.

The classes target various levels of ability including absolute beginners, intermediate and advanced. The course will run for a period of 12 weeks and take place on a Tuesday at 1:30pm.

Singtonicity sessions will also be recommencing at Malvern House on Wednesday, September 18 at 10.30pm. Singtonicity is a unique method of looking after one’s heart. It uses a unique mix of voice, sound, vibration, breath and rhythm to energise, uplift and relax participants. It can give participants an instant health boost increase energy levels, manage stress and promote individual self-awareness in a group setting.

The classes will be led by local singer and musician Siobhan Heaney.

Age Concern also provides computer tuition on a one to one basis for over 60’s residing within Derry City Council area.

The computer tuition is tailor made for each older person and you will be taught at your own pace of learning. This is the ideal way to learn or improve your computer skills amd you gain confidence in using a computer, whether it be for personal or work use.

The classes are available on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Those attending must be over 60 years of age and reside within Derry City Council area. Numbers on all the courses are limited so early registration is advised.
