The New Year could bring exciting creative activities to those aged over 60 in the Derry area, thanks to a host of classes at Age Concern’s Malvern House on Chapel Road.
A new series of art classes are soon to begin at Malvern House, running on Tuesdays at 1.30pm.
The classes target various levels of ability including absolute beginners, intermediate and advanced and will run for a period of ten weeks.
Numbers for the art classes are limited, so early registration is advised.
For those with a penchant for technology, Age Concern Derry also provides computer tuition on a ‘one to one’ basis for persons over 60 in the local area.
The computer tuition is tailor made for each older person and you will be taught at your own pace of learning. This is the ideal way to learn or improve your computer skills.
Participants will gain confidence in using a computer, whether it be for personal or work use.
The classes are available on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
The ever-popular Yoga and Knitting/Crocheting classes are also recommencing next Monday, January 9, and all are welcome to attend.
Organisers are keen to see both familiar and news faces at the classes.
