Former Miss Derry Ashleigh Coyle remains the bookies firm favourite to capture the Channel 5 reality show title as the programme enters it’s final week.

The Waterside teenager is strong favourite across a raft of on line bookmaking sites as the countdown begins to capture the prize, often seen as a gateway to fame and money.

As of today Bet 365 quoted Miss Coyle as 2/5 favourite, whilst Bet Fred levelled odds of 4/9. Bet Victor are quoting 2/5, whilst Irish firm Boyle Sports are offering 4/9 also on the teen beauty queen. Coral bookmakers are giving 1/2, Sky Bet 4/9 and William Hill are also giving 4/9.

The bubbly 18-year-old became one of the youngest everwomen to win the Miss Derry title in 2013 and went on to represent her city in the Miss Ireland pageant.

Meanwhile, friends of Ashleigh are planning to gather in Derry on Friday night to view the live final. It is most likely a big screen will be organised in a city centre bar but according to one facebook post from one of Ashleigh’s friends the details will be released later in the week.

Ashleigh’s boyfriend, Derry man Sean Hutton recently posted on facebook: “It’s crazy to think she’s come so far and won so many people over! It would be amazing if everyone could get behind her and see her through this final week. Thank you all for your support the entire way through!”

Ashleigh is the city’s most recent Big Brother entrant following on from Conor McIntyre in 2012 who left the show with a £50,000 cash bonanza.
