‘Beat the Blues’ food course

‘Beat the Blues with Food’ course starting soon at Quigley’s Point community centre.Run by a qualified nutritionist, this course will cover how to combat the winter blues with food. It will also look at the effects certain foods have on childrens behaviour, and also post partum recovery.The course will take place over 4 weeks in November. A Harvest Thanksgiving Mass will be celebrated in St. Columba’s church Drung next Monday, 13th of October at 7.30. Everyone Welcome.

QPCC Ladies’ Club would like to thank everyone who sponsored and donated to its recent Coffee Morning and all the volunteers. The next Radioactive Disco will take place tonight at Quigley’s Point Community Centre. Junior Disco (Primary school children) will take place from 7:30pm-9pm (admission 3 euro), and Teen Disco (secondary school students) from 9:30pm-11:30pm (admission 5 euro).

There was no jackpot winner in the QPCC/RCD Lotto on Friday 3rd October. Winning numbers were 6, 8, 9, and 15. Redcastle Football club first team drew 1-1 away to Greencastle on Sunday last, Brendan Murphy scored. The Reserves won 2-1 at home to Dunree, Cathal Faulkner and Joseph Mc Cauley got the Redcastle goals. Redcastle Community Development and Redcastle Football Club are hosting Stars in Their Eyes in the Halfway House, Burnfoot next Saturday, 11th of October, Doors open 7.30pm, Show commences 830, followed by a disco. Tickets are 10 euro with a donation also going to ICARE

and can be purchased from any committee member.
