A Bridgend beauty salon owner has been left devastated by the theft of a valuable piece of equipment.
Jennifer McLaughlin, who runs The Beauty House salon in the village, appealed to people to be on the lookout for her micro-pigmentation machine. It was taken from the business at Velvet Hair and Beauty, Bridgend last week.
Jennifer, who was busy preparing to relocate The Beauty House to another premises in Bridgend this week, said the machine was greatly significant to her business.
She told how it was a “very specific” piece of equipment and was used for semi-permanent treatments.
She added that “not everyone can use it.” The machine costs a significant amount of money to replace.
She said: “It’s just so disheartening. I need this to do my job and I’m devastated to think someone could just take it.”
The machine was taken from a storage area some time last week. Jennifer has asked anyone who may have been offered the machine to contact Gardai.
Buncrana Superintendent Eugene McGovern said Gardai were investigating the incident. He also described the machine as “very, very specific” and “only used by this type of business.”
He also appealed to anyone who may have been offered it for sale or who may have noticed anything suspicious at Velvet Hair and Beauty from April 12th to 25th to contact Gardai in Buncrana on 074 93 20540.
