To celebrate the release of their new album, Bell X1, are to play a special instore intimate music session at Cool Discs, Foyle Street.

Bellx1’s sixth studio album ‘Chop Chop’ is released this Friday June 28, on their own label “Belly Up.”

Derry fans, who pre-order the album from the Foyle Street store will receive an invite to the live in-store performance on Wednesday July 10 (7pm). The band no doubt will offer a very intimate performance, as anyone who purchased their live album, ‘Field Recordings’ will attest.

Bell X1, namely Paul Noonan, Dave Geraghty and Dominic Philips enlisted the considerable talents of producers Peter Katis and Thomas Bartlett (The National, Frightened Rabbit, Glen Hansard and Jonsi), for this project.

Tickets for the in store event are limited so to ensure you get your hands on one, the advice from Cool Discs is: “Get your pre-order in ‘chop chop!’

Derry’s only music store Cool Discs has a rich tradition of “live in-store gigs” and have previously featured artists include David Gray and The Frames not to mention a wealth of local talent. Cool Discs proprietor, Lee Mason, promised more in-stores throughout the year: “It’s always a pleasure to put stuff like this on in the shop, and in my experience these gigs are always special moments for fans of the band or music heads in general.”
