The Auxiliary Bishop of Derry, Most Rev. Dr. Francis Lagan recently visited St Patrick's and St Brigid's College to celebrate Mass for the staff and pupils.
Led by Mr M Donnelly (Head of Department) and Miss Bernadette Mc Kaigue, the theme of this year’s Liturgy which took place during Holy Week, was ‘Suffering’. Pupils not only recalled how Jesus suffered for our sins but how we also suffer and like Jesus can become stronger as a result.
Blessing the staff and students, Bishop Lagan commended them for preparing such a thoughtful and well-organised assembly.
On behalf of all the pupils and staff of St Patrick’s and St Brigid’s, Mr Donnelly would like to thank Bishop Lagan for taking time out of his busy schedule to play such an important role in the school liturgy.
