Blade Runner at Arts Centre

The recently launched Roe Valley Community Film Society present their next film screening, science fiction classic Blade Runner – The Final Cut on Monday, 21 February at 7.30pm.

Presented in partnership with the Roe Valley Arts & Cultural Centre/Ionad Ealaíon agus Cultúir Ghleann na Ró to compliment their film and moving image initiative RVACC Reels, this is the Society’s second public film screening.

Ridley Scott’s seminal science fiction film from 1982 is set in a bleak futuristic Los Angeles and is considered a cult classic. Starring Harrision Ford, Rutger Hauer and Sean Young, the film has been hailed as one of the best films ever made, principally for its stunning production design and remains a leading example of the neo-noir genre. The dramatic pnoramic cityscapes combined with the sublime musical score create a unique atmosphere and cinematic experience.

This is a great opportunity to see this cult classic on the big screen and share your film passion with other like-minded individuals. Admission is free, but donations are welcome in support of the Film Society. The film is certificate 15.
