After a smash-hit 2010 UK tour, the legendary West End smash hit Original Tribute to The Blues Brothers will visit Derry’s Millennium Forum in May.
The ‘all-new’ production presents all of the classic moments from the original hit West End show and more, including a brand new set, new twists, new moves, new songs and even, exclaim the producers, freshly laundered suits.
With backing from the inimitable three ‘Bluettes’ and one of Europe’s finest seven piece bands, Jake and Elwood Blues will once again be donning their iconic hats, sunglasses and suits to bring to life a host of the duo’s most memorable hits, including Shake A Tail Feather, Think, Respect, Gimme Some Loving, and the toe-tapping classic Everybody Needs Somebody To Love. This brand new reworking of the celebrated show is directed by Brad Henshaw; who also plays lead, Jake Elroy.
Brad is an established international artist who has performed on stage, TV and radio the world over. He has also performed extensively as an in-house session vocalist on behalf of
Music Factory UK and has recorded on many albums, both as a lead and backing vocalist.
Brad has worked with the likes of Sean Combs (aka P Diddy), Whitney Houston, Blur, Richard Ashcroft and Rod Stewart.
The show has won a BAFTA for Best New Musical, and the run was extended from six to an unprecedented forty six weeks; playing to over 150,000 people.
And now, years later, The Original Tribute to The Blues Brothers is back by popular demand.
The Blues Brothers will perform at the Millennium Forum from Tues 3rd to Sat 7th May.
Tickets are now available from the Box Office, 71 264455 or visit www.millenniumforum.co.uk for bookings.
