Bocan creche Good Friday Cake Sale

The Bocan Community Creche Annual Good Friday Cake Sale and Raffle will be held in Bocan Hall after the 3pm service this Friday.

All in the Parish would like to offer their sympathy to the McElhinney family Ballinabo on the death of Marjorie after a full and active life.Deepest sympathy to her husband Willie, daughters Mairead and Sarah, her granddaughter, Caolinn, son in law Peter, brothers Denis & John, sisters Evelyn, Margaret & Roisin and the wider family circle. May she Rest in Peace.

The organizers of the Daffodil Day collection would like to thank all who supported the cause in Culdaff which yielded a superb total of 967 euro.

Culdaff FC Golf Classic will be held in Greencastle GC on Saturday 7th July with thousands of Euros of prizes to be won on the day. The cost per team is € 100. Scoil Mhuire Gleneely would appreciate if parents intending to enrol their child at the school for September 2012 could please have the enrolement forms back to the school by 27th April latest.

There will be a social in the Wee Hall Culdaff on Friday 27th April. Music is by the Glen Band with dancing from 10pm -2am.Supper will be served and all proceeds are in aid of Culdaff Church of Ireland Parish Funds.

Culdaff FC’s Annual Night at The Races will be held in McGrorys Backroom on Easter Monday commencing at 9pm sharp. Horses priced at 10 euroare on sale from all players or committee members. This fundraiser is ongoing for 16 or 17 years and continues to be one of the best nights in the clubs social calendar. Come along for an entertaining night out.

Carn ABC big fight night , against a very able Mayo selection, takes place in the Malin Hotel on Holy Thursday night with doors opening at 8pm and bouts commencing at 8.30pm. The club presentation and fundraising draw will also take place. All at the club would also like to thank Philip & Elizabeth McDaid for organising the old time ceili in Bocan recently.

Gleneely Colts Night at the Races – 

Gleneely Colts’ annual Night at the Races will be held in The Orchard Bar on Sunday 6th of May at 9.30pm. Horses are 10 euro and available from committee members, all players, Carricks Bar and The Orchard Bar. Always guaranteed to be a great nights craic and the club as always greatly appreciates the community support.

A Fashion Show in aid of Rasheney FC development fund will be staged in the Ballyliffin Lodge and Spa Hotel on Wednesday 18th April. Also on offer is a Spot Prize of a free make-over on the night – hair, make up and outfit. Doors open at 7.30pm and the show commences at 8pm. Admission 8 euro. Tickets currently on sale.

The “Blind factor” singing competition , a combination of The Voice and the X Factor in aid of the Foyle Hospice will take place in the Ballyliffin Hotel on 7th of April. Doors open at 8.30 . Admission 10 euro. Great prizes on the night. All welcome.

A Zumba Class is held in Bocan Hall every Wednesday night from 6.30pm – 7.30pm and in Malin Hall on Monday nights at the same time.Come along as it is a brilliant way to exercise and get fit.

A social will be held in Hillhead Church Hall Carndonagh in aid of Beaumont Hospital Dublin on Friday, 13th April. Music is by Peter Mac with dancing from 9.30- 1.30am. Admission including supper is 6 euro. All support appreciated.

Old Tyme Dancing starts again on Thursday April 19th in Lagg Presbyterian Hall commencing at 8.30pm. Dancing then continues every first and third Thursday of the month.
