Body found during Isle of Doagh search

A search had been focusing on the area after a man was reported missing on Tuesday afternoon.

Shortly before 2pm, a body was located near Lagg beach at an area known locally as Knockameny Point.

The body was recovered on rocks by the Sligo 118 helicopter and was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital for formal identification.

An extensive search had been taking place in the area by the Greencastle Coast Guard, Lough Swilly RNLI and the Sligo 118 helicopter, assisted by members of the community in Inishowen and Derry.
