Fans of comedy drama are in for a treat at the Millennium Forum when the hilarious farce, ‘Boeing Boeing’, debuts at the city side theatre from Fri 13th to Sat 14th June.
From the author of ‘Don’t Dress For Dinner’ this new production arrives in Derry for the only Irish dates on the current UK tour and it features a star-studded cast of stage and screen.
Well-known actress, Kim Tiddy, stars as Gloria. Kim is perhaps best known for setting hearts aflutter as PC Honey Harman in The Bill, a role she played for four years.
Tiddy’s last appearance on The Bill was on January 25, 2007 when her character was killed off. Tiddy decided to leave with the idea of developing her career in theatre.
Fans of the Channel Four soap, Hollyoaks, will also recognise her as the strong, glamorous ex-model and WAG, Heidi Costello.
Gretchen is played by Zoie Kennedy, who, despite her theatre background, is best known for her role as Staff Nurse Meryl Taylor in ITV’s nostalgic drama, The Royal, for which she was nominated for Best Newcomer at the 2003 National Television Awards.
Other television appearances include Doctors, Holby City, Emmerdale and Heartbeat.
Bernard, a successful architect living in Paris, thinks he can easily cope as he juggles three flight attendant fiancées successfully convincing each that she is the only one.
It all boils down to juggling timetables and a reliable maid, Bertha, who never forgets to change the photographs. Chaos ensues in this hysterical whirl of mayhem and matchmaking.
Boeing Boeing performs at the Millennium Forum on Friday 13th and Saturday 14th June.
