No strangers to dressing up and having fun, Millennium Forum Marketing staff, William Ferry (Sponsorship and Cultural Development Officer) and Emma McCay (Marketing Assistant) took time out of their hectic schedules recently to surprise students at St Cecilia’s College with free tickets to the Millennium Forum’s youth musical, Grease.
Dressed as Danny and Sandy, they arrived in style to present a group of unsuspecting students with their tickets – all part of a day’s work!
The tickets were issued through Arts & Business funding in partnership with Forum sponsors, Foyleside Shopping Centre.
Kate Guelke, Education & Outreach Officer with the Millennium Forum, said:
“We’ve had a fantastic response to this initiative. Schools from all over Northern Ireland have accessed tickets to this new production.
“We are looking forward to welcoming students from areas including Fermanagh, Omagh, Strabane, Derry and Donegal to our latest youth musical.”
The Millennium Forum’s Youth Musical, Grease, performs at the cityside venue from Thurs 25th to Sat 27th July.
This amateur production is presented by arrangement with Josef Weinberger Ltd.
The show features songs such as “You’re The One That I Want,” “Hopelessly Devoted To Yo,” “Summer Nights” and “Look At Me I’m Sandra Dee.”
Grease is a classic rockability-style musical with an edge. The Millennium Forum’s seventh consecutive youth musical running, Grease looks set to be an automatic, systematic, hydromatic hit!
