Dungiven seems set for forty new high tech jobs, according to East MLA Cathal ÓhOisín.
Speaking exclusively to The Journal, the Northern Ireland Assembly member said he was confident that the announcement of 40 high tech new jobs at a new development in the Dungiven area, would be made in a short time.
It would appear that a number of elected representatives, as well as a number of statutory agencies, have been working hard to secure the jobs for the County Derry town.
Mr. ÓhOisín said: “We’ve been in contact for a considerable period of time with investors who’ve seen an opportunity in the area. So with the assistance of the statutory agencies we are fully confident that an announcement is imminent.”
The Mayor Of Limavady, Councillor Sean McGlinchey, said: “This is indeed good news and a tribute to all who’ve worked so hard toward the delivery of this.
“It would be my hope that we can begin to stem the tide of our smartest and finest young people leaving the East Derry area.”
It is understood that the company making the announcement already has a presence in the area.
