US-owned Allstate in Strabane has opened a new Training and Education Centre (TEC) in the Co Tyrone town.
The state-of-the-art facility - located in premises adjacent to the Allstate NI Strabane site - is housed within the Strabane Enterprise Agency at Orchard Road.
Allstate NI Managing Director Bro McFerran said: “The opening is testament to the hard work, commitment and dedication of our staff here in Strabane over the past eight years.
“We have grown from a team of 40 employees in 2004 to 410 today.
“The new TEC will allow us to further train our staff in the skills they need to provide the outstanding customer service to our US clients that we have become renowned for.”
The local IT company recently held a Recruitment Day at the Alley Theatre in Strabane. Successful candidates at the event will be among the first to take advantage of the new training facilities.
The opening of the new TEC was attended by representatives from Strabane Enterprise Agency and Strabane District Council including Christina Mullen and Geraldine Stafford, as well as Allstate US dignitaries. The ‘Allstate blue’ ribbon was cut by Allstate Senior Vice President Carla Zuniga who travelled from Allstate Headquarters in Chicago accompanied by John Davis Allstate, Operations Director, Raquel Wernicke, Allstate Operations and Strategy Leader, and Doug Loretto, Allstate NI Senior Account Manager.
Speaking at the event, Strabane Operations Area Leader Tom Hamilton said: “Without the help of all those involved in the project team both internally at Allstate NI, Allstate US and our local partners in Strabane none of this would have been possible.”
Allstate NI will now begin training more than 50 staff at the facility as the company continues growing its presence in Strabane.
