Appeal to embrace WorldHost scheme for frontline staff

Local businesses have been urged to embrace the WorldHost Customer Service training programme for front line staff.

Over 3,500 people in Derry have participated in the programme.

The city’s Skills Directorate along with the Mayor, Councillor Martin Reilly, are now urging local businesses to embrace WorldHost to ensure Derry becomes the first WorldHost Destination City.

The Mayor said: “The success of the WorldHost training has been widely advocated by the businesses that are already involved in the programme, the employees who have undergone the training and the visitors who have been on the receiving end.

“In order to become the first WorldHost city it is vital that those businesses, not yet signed up, do so now.

“Being a part of the programme will give your staff the opportunity to achieve a nationally recognised qualification in the art of customer service, promote a positive sense of pride in your business, your community and the city to create a legacy far beyond that of 2013”.
