Finance Minister Arlene Foster will address local business owners and traders at the 58th Chamber of Commerce President’s Annual Dinner this week.
The DUP MLA will be one of two main speakers at the black-tie event will be staged at the Everglades Hotel this Friday.
Ulster University Economics Professor Neil Gibson will also be addressing those gathered.
The event in Derry will mark the 130th anniversary of the founding of the Chamber of Commerce in Derry.
Later this month the Chamber will host the first in a series of Business Workshops to advise employers and managers of the implications of social media within a business.
The workshop, by Julie Pollock from Consult HR, will examine how to safeguard a company from inappropriate social media posts, what should be contained within a social media policy, and how to deal with employees who breach it.
Other upcoming Chamber events include an Interactive Finance Workshop from 10am to 12pm on November 5th on understanding finance for business.
The workshop will be led by McCartney & Co Accountants.
A third workshop on November 19th will focus on Pensions and will give members a more in-depth understanding of pensions for business.
John Dooher from Doherty Pensions and Consultants Ltd’s North West Consultant will also discuss Pension Legislation.
