The Beech Hill Country House Hotel is celebrating a double awards haul after being ranked among the ‘100 Best Places to Stay in Ireland’ and named Derry’s ‘Best Hotel Restaurant’.

The Beech Hill, at Ardmore on the outskirts of Derry, has earned a coveted place in John

and Sally McKenna’s bible of the ‘100 Best Places to Stay in Ireland’ and been further recognised in the Irish Restaurant Awards 2016 as the best County Derry hotel for dining.

The recognition by the McKennas - Ireland’s most famous foodies and hotel commentators - ranks the Beech Hill’s owners among what the guide describes as ‘the great hospitality families of Ireland’.

Although the Beech Hill is no stranger to the prestige of top hospitality awards, owner and manager Patsy O’Kane describes the latest recognition by the McKennas as a source of great pride for her staff, management team and family.

She added: “Being included in John and Sally McKenna’s guide is a huge honour and one we are tremendously proud of as a family owned and run hotel.”

The accolade for the luxurious Georgian countryside getaway follows hot on the heels of being named ‘Best Hotel Restaurant’ in County Derry in the Irish Restaurant Awards 2016.

Patsy O’Kane added: “We are always very humbled to be named the best in our industry but we never stop working to ensure the comfort and pleasure of each and every guest.”
