The newly appointed head of a Derry based TV production company says the city will be at the heart of the firm’s expansion plans.

Mark Wright, the new managing director of 360Production, says Derry will be the “core base” for the company’s productions.

The company, the factual arm of Impossible Productions where Mr Wright serves as head of production, is responsible for a number of well known TV shows including Digging for Britain, Making History and the recent James May’s Things You Need to Know.

I am very excited to be stepping up to this role at 360Production at this time,” said the company’s new MD, “as there’s a fantastic slate of projects in the pipeline that I will be getting involved in.

“I’m looking forward to expanding Derry as the core base for all 360 productions and driving growth in output in both the domestic and international markets.”

The company has offices in Dublin and London as well as its base in Derry.
