Furniture giant DFS is set to create 20 new jobs in Derry when it opens a store in the city later this year.
The sofa specialist will open its new store at Crescent Link in the summer.
A spokeswoman for the company yesterday told the ‘Journal’ the Derry store was part of the company’s “ambitious programme of business development.”
“DFS will be creating around 20 full time jobs in the city when our new store is planned to open this summer. The store opening will occur as soon as the premises we have identified both becomes available and the necessary building work has been completed,” she said.
The spokeswoman said the Crescent Link store will “provide the people of Derry with easy access to our extensive ranges of upholstered furniture products in a brand new showroom.”
“Our product range is huge and represents all styles and designs – there is literally something for everybody.
“Our showrooms are second to none both in terms of the breadth of products to choose from and the environment within which our products are displayed.
“The DFS in-store shopping experience has been developed over the company’s forty one year history and continues to evolve further with each new store to bring new and exciting features to help our customers choose the right products for them,” she said.
