Traders in Derry are set for a business bonanza during next year’s All-Ireland Fleadh, according to traders in Cavan who will be hosting the event this year.
Business leaders from the Cavan Chamber of Commerce addressed a public meeting in Derry on Wednesday evening organised by the local Chamber of Commerce to share their experience of hosting the prestigious traditional music festival.
Jim Burke, the president of the Cavan Chamber, told the crowd of publicans, hoteliers and other business people that the Fleadh Cheoil na h’Éireann presents money-making opportunities for every type of business.
Mr Burke encouraged local traders to “think outside the box” and consider diversifying their business in order to maximise the opportunities presented by the fleadh.
Derry traders were also invited to come to Cavan during this year’s fleadh to see at first hand what business is like during the festival.
