Three companies have announced plans to create more than 40 new jobs in Derry.

Surrey based firm One Stop Data, which specialises in postal, telephone and email marketing, are to create 24 posts at a new contact centre while Axa Insurance is set to recruit 13 new employees.

The new workers will bring the number of Axa staff to 163.

Meanwhile local firm Fresh Food Kitchen, which produces a range of fresh food products such as salads, sandwich fillers, desserts and mayonnaise, also plans to employ an additional five people to work on the development of a new range of fresh soups.

The new jobs are supported by InvestNI’s Jobs Fund, set up earlier this year to stimulate job creation in response to the challenges of the global economic downturn.
