Two Derry businesses have scooped awards at the Neighbourhood Retailer Awards.
Morans Retail Group were awarded the Training Initiative of the Year Award at the 14th annual Neighbourhood Retailer Awards on Friday. Nichols Centra, Greysteel, were given the Forecourt of the Year with a convenience store award, it was sponsored by PRM.
The awards were handed out at a Gala event, attended by more than 450 retailers and Finance Minister, Sammy Wilson, at Belfast’s Ramada Hotel.
Hosted by UTVs Tina Campbell, the ceremony rewarded excellence in the retail sector. Donna and John Moran of Moran’s Retail Group, who walked away with the Training Initiative of the Year Award, sponsored by Skillsmart Retail, said: “We are delighted with the win because we put so much into our staff and we get so much from them in return.
“We believe we are people’s people and without our staff there would be no us.”
