US technology firm Kofax could create new jobs in Derry after confirming it is to move to new premises in the city.
The company, curerntly based in Patrick Street, employs around 200 people in Derry and Belfast.
But that number could increase after the firm confirmed it is to move to new office space at Pennyburn Pass, in the same building as the Derry Journal.
“We can confirm we are moving to new offices near Pennyburn Pass.
“Although at this time Kofax is planning on no change in staff count, it is our goal to build on our continued success and developing our business, this new office does permit us the space to increase staff as needed in the future in support of these goals,” a company spokesperson told the ‘Journal.’
Kofax bought Derry telecoms firm Singularity in a deal worth £30million in 2011. It is a leading provider software to a rane of sectors including banking, insurance and government.
