Mayor Cllr Martin Reilly says the 2013 CultureTech Festival offers something for everyone who is keen to learn, share and celebrate the city’s relationship with technology, media, music and arts.
Encouraging the public to come out and support the week-long festival of digital technology, the Mayor said Culture Tech is one of the city’s most forward thinking and ambitious events with over 100 sessions taking place across a broad spectrum of subjects and most of them free.
“I think the CultureTech festival is one of the most exciting events in the city’s calendar. It has so many great events with interesting speakers and participants to dramatic performances, discussions, exhibitions and screenings. I would encourage the public to take time to go through the programme and come along to some of the many events scheduled throughout the week.”
The Mayor added : “Now in its second year, the CultureTech Festival is aimed at showcasing the best of local and international talent across the creative digital sectors, from gaming to music, animation and digital arts/ I am delighted that Derry City Council is one of a number of principle funders and look forward to attending some of the events myself this week.”
