Derry man Aidan Breslin has been elected to take the helm as Chairman of the Northern Ireland’s Social Media Association for Business (SMA4B).
The Waterside man will now help steer Irish business owners through the often overwhelming social media landscape and arm business leaders with the tools they need to survive in these ever-changing times.
Aidan is the first Derry chairperson and hopes through the SMA4B to help businesses in the northwest expand their customer base using Social Media and Digital Marketing.
“I am delighted to have been elected as SMA4B Chair, and I look forward to working with the other steering group members to develop the organisation over the months ahead, particularly in the North West.
“When used correctly, social media can be a powerful way of developing new customer relationships and enhancing your business.
“Many businesses are not using it correctly, and we aim to provide a thought leadership and networking forum where businesses can learn best practice. We also want to provide businesses with an opportunity to network outside of their normal circle and do business together”
Aidan has over 22 years experience in marketing, sales, operations and IT in various SME’s and large organisations, and for the past few years has put this varied knowledge to use in providing business development in both an offline and online capacity. The SMA4B will hold their next event on August 30 at Culturlann Uí Chanáin in Great James Street.
