The Executive has “turned its back on improving opportunities” in the North-West, SDLP MLA Colum Eastwood has said.
In reaction to the lack of funds for the A6 and A5, Mr Eastwood said the projects suffered first from “mishandling” by Ulster Unionist Minister Danny Kennedy and then from outright refusal by the Finance Minister. “The people of the North West are sick of seeing missed opportunities,” he said. He also questioned Sinn Féin and the Deputy First Minister on the issue. “Why are THEY not screaming from the roof-tops about the dearth of infrastructure and investment in the North West?”
