Lisnagelvin Shopping Centre has bagged more than 90 new jobs for local people.
The boost comes with the opening of one of the biggest Costa coffee shops in Northern Ireland, as well as a Card Factory, Poundland and Savers.
Poundland is situated behind Card Factory and Costa, which are both located next to each other.
Savers can be found between Lloyds Pharmacy and the Tesco Café.
Savers offers top quality, brand toiletries, beauty and health products, and now runs more than 230 stores across Britain and Northern Ireland.
Aisling Doherty, Centre Manager for Lisnagelvin Shopping Centre, says: “We are delighted that Card Factory, Costa, Poundland and Savers are now open.
“They have brought a range of benefits to the local community including the creation of more than 90 vital new jobs.”
Lisnagelvin Shopping Centre offers a range of stores including Primark and Tesco as well as independent stores such as Breslin’s Family Butchers, which offers a selection of locally sourced produce.
Lisnagelvin Shopping Centre is also home to a variety of stores, ranging from well-known high street brands to independent retailers.
Local Sinn Fein councillor Christopher Jackson has welcomed the jobs boost.
He said: “It’s good to see these new businesses opening in the Lisnagelvin Shopping Centre and creating much needed employment in the Waterside. This will, hopefully, act as catalyst to bring in more business to the centre and sustain local jobs.”
