Tower Hotel is now the Maldron Hotel

A major expansion project by the Dalata Hotel Group continued in Derry today when the Tower Hotel was renamed the Maldron Hotel.

The Dalata Hotel Group will now operate the 93-bedroom four-star hotel, which will include the hotel undergoing a £450,000 refurbishment which is due for completion in 2015.

Speaking at the announcement of the new name, Stephen McNally said: “We are delighted to have this exciting opportunity to manage Maldron Hotel Derry. The Maldron Hotel Derry is unique, in that it is the only hotel within the walled city of Derry, so we very much look forward to working with general manager, Mike Gatt and his team over the coming months.”
