Twenty jobs are to be created at a Derry mechanical contracting firm.
Allpipe Engineering, which specialises in detail design, fabrication, insulation and installation of process and service pipework, will create the jobs as part of a £1.1million investment.
They are also being supported by £180,000 from InvestNI.
The Derry company say they are to create an electrical and instrumentation division and an orbital welding facility.
Kieran Connor, Chief Operating Officer,at Allpipe Engineering says those new facilities will allow the firm to tap into new markets.
It is anticipated that the additional capacity will enable the company to increase its turnover by 60 per cent over the next three years.
Mr Connor said:”“We’ve identified an opportunity to increase export sales by targeting new sectors in the pharmaceutical and health food processing industries.
“The new electrical and instrumentation division and orbital welding facility will also allow us to offer a complementary set of products and services to our existing customer base.
“Invest NI’s support has been essential in allowing us to quickly recruit skilled workers and also to undertake marketing to help establish our brand in the new target markets.”
Alastair Hamilton, Chief Executive of InvestNI says the investment will “further enhance the company’s capability and reputation within key markets, in particular, in export markets where new opportunities are emerging.”
