“These children and adults deserve to take part in all activities, just like anyone else, so we at Derry GAA have been trying to provide an opportunity for them to do so,” said Mrs McCaul.

The funday is on Saturday 18th March from 11am until 12:30pm in Owenbeg on the 4g pitch, and will mark World Down Syndrome Day which falls on March 21st.

Mrs. McCaul said the event is well supported with Derry GAA coaches facilitating the event, and participants come from all over County Derry.

“We would urge all children and young adults with special needs to come along on Saturday and enjoy the morning of coaching and games,” said Mrs. McCaul.
