Two local charities are to benefit from a massive book sale to be held in Inishowen later this month.
Burt’s Kathleen Grant and her friends will hold the event on Saturday, 12th July from 10am - 5pm, Sunday, 13th July from 12 noon to 5pm and Monday, 14th July from 10am - 5pm.
Donation of Books, CD’s and DVD’s welcome and can be left in the hall on Thursday 10th and Friday 11th from 2pm or Contact Kathleen on 07493 68373 or 086 3931426.
Kathleen is appealing for a big turn out and assured everyone they would not be left disappointed.
“Just be sure to bring plenty of bags or big boxes,” she said.
She added the two charities are very close to her heart.
“The Samaritans are there to help, that listening ear is so important in this busy world of ours,” she said.
She added she has met with those who have received a kidney transplant and those who are undergoing dialysis.
Stressing how the donor must always be remembered, she said those who have received transplants have “regained their good health and life once again is a ray of sunshine.”
The organisers would appreciate donations of food for “that wee cup of tea.” Proceeds from the tea will go to the upkeep of St. Mary’s Hall.
Kathleen said the event would be “a real treat for booklovers and a great social day for everyone.”
