Calling all ladies for Hospice Midnight Walk

The Foyle Hospice Midnight Walk is “back, bigger, better and brighter than ever,” according to organisers.

The 2nd annual Limavady Midnight Walk will take place next Friday 22nd June 2012. The Midnight Walk is approximately a 4 mile sponsored walk around the town and will start/finish at Roe Valley Leisure Centre, Greystone Road. The walk shall commence at midnight and be a ladies only event. The entry fee is £10 this year with all participants receiving the all new Strabane Midnight Walk T-Shirt, Medal, goodie pack and the extra treat of a tasty sausage bap on completion of the walk!

Commenting recently on the event, Rachel Bruce, Community Fundraiser said “I am delighted our 2nd annual Limavady Midnight Walk is just around the corner. We had an overwhelming turnout last year of 568 ladies in Limavady on the night from all over the Limavady, Ballykelly and Dungiven areas. Foyle Hospice relies heavily upon the support and donations from the public so we hope that through events such as our Midnight Walk people can not only make a difference to those suffering from cancer and other life limiting illnesses right here in their own area but also enjoy the experience and learn more about all aspects of Hospice Care. I am thrilled to be able to thank all of our main sponsors that are back on board this year; Heron Bros Ltd, Hunters and Roe Valley Leisure Centre, we also have the additional support this year from Q102 and Doherty’s Meats. Their support and contributions help us in creating and delivering a successful event for everyone involved. I really hope ladies throughout the town and outlying areas can come together with friends, family or work colleagues and take part in the midnight walk whether it is for fun, fitness, in hope or in memory of someone dear to them.”

Foyle Hospice encourage everyone to submit their forms before as soon as possible in order to guarantee an event t-shirt.
