Can you make a starter pack for Syrians

Derry people have been asked to donate to a “starter pack” to help the ten Syrian families who are coming to the city in the Spring. The families are expected to arrive with only a small number of possessions.

An appeal has been made for new donations of clothes and household items. The list of items needed include Household starter packs (kitchen and bathroom cleaning essentials, tissues, toilet roll, towels, tea towels, tin openers and utensils; Children’s starter packs (toys, colouring in pens, crayons, paper, glue), Medical and Hygiene Packs, toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, brushes, combs; Clothes starter packs; Basic Food starter packs, Syrian Food starter packs of chickpeas, lemon juice, garlic paste, tomato puree, tahini, spices, dried beans, pistachios, walnuts, green lentils, olives and dried apricots. Also footballs, basketball, goggles, tennis, rackets and balls, swingball, sports shop vouchers etc..
