Gardai investigating the deaths of a Carndonagh couple on Thursday morning have issued an appeal for information over the movements of a Skoda Octavia car between 4pm on Wednesday and 9am on Thursday.

The vehicle was a silver in colour, with the registration number 10DL274,

They are specifically seeking any information regarding the movements of this vehicle between 4pm on Wednesday 22nd October until its discovery at Lakeside, Mindoran, Clonmany at 9.35am on Thursday 23rd October 2014.

Anyone with information on the movements of the Skoda Octavia is asked to contact An Garda Síochána, Buncrana Garda Station on (00353) 74-9320540.

There is still profound shock in the Inishowen community over the deaths of husband and wife Kathleen and Jimmy Cuddihy. The couple, both in their 70s, were found dead at their home in Churchtown on Thursday morning.

A man in his 40s is still being detained at Buncrana Garda Station in under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
