Derry’s Diocesan Administrator says Catholic schools are “very special places of faith and learning.”
Very Rev. Francis Bradley was speaking at a special Mass at St Eugene’s Cathedral yesterday to celebrate Catholic Schools’ Week which starts this weekend.
Fr. Bradley said: “Our primary schools or national schools, our post-primary schools, all can build on the lessons we learn at home.”
He likened a Catholic school to a “group of good people, a place of faith and learning where we discover Christ in everything we do.”
“It is where we play and we pray, it is where we learn how to love and how to learn,” he added.
