CCTV operating in cemetery
The temporary cameras have been installed following a spree of anti-social behaviour at the cemetery, including vandalism to headstones and graves, underage drinking, and a car being torched.
In the coming weeks the Council will consider locations across the cemetery for permanent CCTV cameras

Hide AdA spokesperson for Derry City and Strabane District Council has confirmed that “temporary CCTV cameras have now been installed at a number of locations across the City Cemetery which are monitored remotely.
“Officers are currently scoping the installation of permanent camera positions with a report going forward to Council for consideration in September,” she added.
