A twenty-four-year old Top of the Hill man was fined at Derry Magistrate’s Court on Monday for possession of the horse tranquilliser Ketamine.

Patrick Bernard Tracey, from Rose Court, was observed by the city centre CCTV operators to have in his possession a small bag of white powder in Bishop Street on October 27, the court heard. A defence solicitor said the drugs were for Mr Tracey’s own use and that he had made full admissions. He was fined £250; an offender levy of £15 was imposed.
