The organisers of April’s Celtic Media Festival have appealed for volunteers to help run the Playhouse hosted three day event.
The Celtic Media Festival is a celebration of the languages and cultures of the Celtic countries on screen and in broadcasting.
The Festival is an annual celebration of broadcasting, film talent and excellence celebrating work from Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Cornwall, Brittany and the Isle of Man through free screenings and workshops. The festival and its award ceremony is well attended by the industry insiders and could prove invaluable work experience for anyone interested in a career in the media or event management.
As well as being on hand to welcome guests, organisers are asking for volunteers interested in becoming a runner, an usher or an evening host to get in touch. Those interested will have to be available from 9am Tuesday, April 17 to 9pm Saturday, April 21 at 21:00. Volunteers would need to be fast workers and good problem solvers with the ability to work under pressure. If you would like to be considered as a volunteer for the festival, please send your CV and covering letter to Leona Buchanan, Festival Co-ordinator at Leona@celticmediafestival.co.uk. If you have any questions, please call the Celtic Media Festival office on 0141 302 1759.
