Gentle chair aerobics will be commencing at Age Concern Derry this Thursday, January 12. Chair aerobics are an ideal physical activity for older people, those with limited mobility or those who have difficulty balancing.
The exercises facilitate movement at an appropriate level to increase fitness without adding unnecessary risk which can arise during higher intensity exercise. The exercise increases strength, improves vitality and range of motion, aids pain relief, increases circulation and heart rate and improves muscle strength. The classes will be held in a group setting with a qualified instructor.
