The annual St.Vincent De Paul senior citizens Christmas Party will take place in St. Mary’s Community Hall

on Thursday 20th November at 7.30pm. All senior citizens welcome.

Santa’s Grotto at Muff Community Park will open with arrival of Santa on Thursday, 11th December at 6.30pm. Santa will meet the boys and girls and each will get a photograph and a gift. There should be a good atmosphere with entertainment being provided by Muff Youth Accordion Band and carol singers. Yuletide refreshments will also be on offer. Admission €5/£5 per family. Proceeds to Muff Community Park.

The Christmas lighting ceremony takes place in the Squealin’ Pig park at 6.45pm on Thursday, 4th December at 6.45pm. The switch-on will be conducted by Santa himself, assisted by the Mayor of Muff, Kathleen McCorkell, and preceded by short prayer service. The Muff Youth Accordion Band will be on hand to entertain the crowds, and Christmas food and crafts will be on sale. There’s something for everyone with mulled wine and minced pies for the grown-ups and a gift for the boys and girls.

The monthly meeting of the I.C.A. will take place next Tuesday 18th November in St.Mary’s Community Hall,

Tonight’s 7.30pm Mass in Sacred Heart Church Muff will be offered as the Month’s Mind Mass for Paul Elder Friday. The 7pm Mass in Drung will be offered for Neil Havlin and 10am Mass tomorrow in Muff will be offered for the deceased members of the Legion of Mary.

A date to mark on your Calendar is 23rd November when ‘Hosanna House Pilgrimage Trust’ is holding a ‘Fundraising Concert’ in St. Mary’s Community Hall, Muff, to assist bring disabled people to Lourdes. It’s a star studded event- with ‘All the way from America’ Derry’s own Gavin Coyle with Joe Cauley MC/Comedian, plus Paddy McCartney, Christian Brothers Past Pupils’ Choir, and St. Cecilia’s Esemble. The numbers drawn in this week’s GAA Lotto draw were 3,5,4,1,2,6,7 No Jackpot winner however 100 euro winner went to Bernie McCallion, Aught. Next week’s Jackpot will be 450 euro. The club’s Presentation night in the Redcastle Hotel last Friday night was a great success. Our under age Presentation is on Friday 21st November at theClubhouse. All teams up to U 12’s will be honoured on the night.

This year’s Club Bazaar will take place on 30th November. Donations of any unwanted gifts would be most welcome. Contact any committee member. The club’s Big Development Draw will be on Friday 5th December in the Squealin’ Pig. Tickets still available from any club member and in local shops.
