Child suffers serious injuries in Feeney crash

A child has been taken to hospital for treatment for serious head injuries following a crash in Feeney yesterday.

Police are advising motorists that the Mullaghmesh Road, Feeney is closed at its junction with the Glenshane Road and the Ballyhanedin Road following a serious one vehicle road traffic collision yesterday afternoon, Sunday 23 February.

As a result of the accident one child was taken to hospital for treatment for serious head injuries.

Diversions are in place and motorists are advised to seek alternative routes were possible.

Police would appeal to anyone who was travelling along the Mullaghmesh Road, Feeney at around 2.55 pm yesterday afternoon and witnessed the accident to contact police at Limavady on 08456008000.
