Clown Noir, This is Me! at Playhouse on Thursday

A theatrical stage show that takes you on a journey through a clown’s life and career, (the highs, the lows and the shows) will come to The Playhouse this Thursday night, October 9th.

A piece of physical comedy that will evoke empathy, passion and disgust combined with hilarious dark humour, ‘Clown Noir’ provides a unique and amusing insight into the life of a
clown.

It is written and performed by Simon Thompson, and directed By Dave Spathaky, Simon Thompson, a Clown, Bouffon and director who has trained with Philipe Gaulier, has performed all over the world, with over 25 years experience in Circus, Physical Theatre, Mask, Street and Carnival performance.

“This show is for those with curious minds who want to decipher the soul that inhabits the body of a clown, those who want to see behind the façade of grotesque makeup and
costume.

“In equal parts you will witness comedy, tragedy, joy and pathos” Áine McCarron, theatre programmer at The Playhouse said.

‘Clown Noir’ will be performed at The Playhouse on Thursday, 9 October at
8pm.
