Local Irish language and cultural group Cumann Gaelach Chnoc na Rós will launch its new term of Irish classes next week.
The classes will restart on Tuesday September 13th in St Anne’s Primary School, Rosemount, at 7.15pm. Classes are offered to suit learners at all levels, from complete beginners to fluent speakers.
Cumann Gaelach Chnoc na Rós have been running Irish language classes in Rosemount for more than 20 years and during that time many learners have become fluent Irish speakers. Many of those who have attended classes at Cnoc na Rós have also attained qualifications at GSCE and A level.
Micheál Mac Mhaongail from Cumann Gaelach Chnoc na Rós said; “Those who come to our classes will hear Irish spoken by teachers and cumann members who are passionate about promoting the language in a way that includes everyone and excludes no-one,” he said.
