The Society of St Vincent de Paul are hosting a coffee morning at the Edinburgh Woollen Mill shop in Foyleside on Friday coming.
The organisation are encouraging local people to support the event and help those who are struggling in the community.
Friday’s event will take place from 9am – 1pm.
Cormac Wilson, local area president of SVP, explained: “We would like to encourage everyone out and about in the City on Friday July 25 to drop in to grab a coffee with us. SVP is Northern Ireland’s largest charity and this is a great opportunity to learn a bit more about the work that we do within this community. Everyone is welcome and there is no set donation– we are grateful for whatever people choose to contribute.
“We have 17 active conferences operating in Derry and we work with people from all backgrounds
“Without the continued support of an ever giving generous public we wouldn’t be able to help so many people locally. Poverty does not discriminate nor do we.”
