St Columb’s College, Derry will host its annual annual Rickety Wheel this Thursday, December 11th December, with lots of fantatic prizes and festive gifts to be won. The event begins at 7.30pm and it is hoped it will be well supported as a substantial amount of the money raised will help the fundraising efforts of a group of St Columb’s pupils who will travel to Lourdes next July as part of the Derry Diocesan Pilgrimage.

According to Fr Micheál McGavigan, who will be leading the 100 strong Pilgrimage Youth Team, the trip

will be a once in a lifetime experience for many of the young people.

“It is so important that our young people get to experience as many situations in life as possible and the Pilgrimage to Lourdes as part of the Diocesan Pilgrimage can offer truly life changing experiences”.

“The feedback from those who went last year was brilliant, It certainly enhanced their outlook on life, developed their faith and made them realise how lucky they are!

With fantastic prizes on offer and the chance to support the pupils’ fundraising efforts for Lourdes, make sure the St Columb’s College Rickety Wheel this Thursday night is a date in your festive diary.
