Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytical Psychotherapist, Colman Noctor, is to deliver a presentation to parents today. Tuesday 10th May in Crana College, Buncrana.
Mr Noctor will speak about his experiences of working with teenagers and young adults.
Specifically, he will offer advice to parents, teachers and adults on how they should support young people who are becoming more and more obsessed and dependant on their mobile phones and the technology that they offer.
Mr Noctor has worked across a range of Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services both in Ireland and abroad. He has a wealth of national and international clinical experience and is a part-time associate professor in Trinity College in Dublin. As a self-confessed technology addict himself he has a keen interest in the effects of contemporary media on child development and mental health and frequently contributes to national media on this topic.
A frequent contributor to the broadsheet press, Colman’s best selling parental-advice book ‘Cop On. What it is and why your child needs it to thrive and survive in today’s world’ was published in March 2015
